Review the U.S. shipment scope
Provide the Canadian pickup and U.S. destination addresses and the complete furniture/carton inventory. Identify packing, specialty items and storage. Confirm who coordinates documents and how shipment requirements are reviewed before loading.
Coordinate with the receiving property
New York and Boston buildings may need detailed stair and receiving information; Florida condos may have a scheduled dock; a Los Angeles hillside property may have gated or sloped access. Describe your actual building instead of assuming a citywide procedure.

Keep travel and customs decisions separate
Use our Canada-to-USA preparation and customs guides for the next tasks. Your entry eligibility and treatment of goods are determined by the relevant authority. The moving quote covers only the agreed services and cannot authorize personal entry.
Prepare your move to the United States
Tell us your Canadian pickup address, U.S. receiving address and preferred moving dates. Include the inventory, stairs or elevators, requested packing and any storage gap. Review the current CBP Form 3299 instructions when planning an unaccompanied household shipment and confirm what supporting information applies to you. Keep document names, addresses and the shipment inventory consistent. Do not send sensitive identity documents through the initial quote form; use the agreed document process after discussing your move.
Coordinate U.S. delivery and your own travel
Your household shipment and personal entry are separate preparations. Confirm when you will hold the keys, who can receive the goods and what the U.S. building requires for unloading. A condo may need an elevator slot or management approval before the crew can begin. Ask what happens if access or document readiness changes. Keep the delivery contact available and carry first-night essentials so your personal arrangements do not depend on an unconfirmed arrival hour.
